MAXIFY is Canon's line for small and medium businesses: the same ink-tank idea as MegaTank but with a higher monthly duty cycle, faster speeds and larger paper trays. Its natural home is an office that prints a lot of colour and does not want to pay colour-laser running costs.

MAXIFY or colour laser?
Colour laser is faster on large batches and gives sharper text, but colour toner is expensive. MAXIFY wins when colour printing is daily and mid-volume — brochures, quotations, colour invoices — and the cost-per-page gap shows up clearly across a year.
The models and how they differ
The main difference across the GX models is speed, monthly duty cycle and the number of paper trays. The higher the number, the larger the volume it handles and the more office features it carries — automatic duplex and a document feeder for scanning.

How big an office does MAXIFY suit?
The smaller models suit an office of three to eight people; the larger ones handle up to about twenty with daily printing. Beyond that, a laser or an imageRUNNER office system is the better fit.
Do they only take genuine ink?
We recommend genuine ink — it is what guarantees print quality and protects the printer, and the warranty is affected by non-genuine ink. Genuine ink and toner are available on our consumables page.
Is there a warranty?
