Canon imagePROGRAF large-format plotters

A plotter prints onto a wide paper roll rather than cut sheets — engineering and architectural drawings, posters, signage and large professional photography. The imagePROGRAF range splits into two clear lines: TX, TA and TM for CAD and posters, and PRO for photography, fine art and professional print.

CAD or photography?

If your work is AutoCAD drawings, site plans and presentation boards, the TM, TA and TX lines fit: fast, precise lines and a sensible cost per metre. If your work is photography, fine art or press proofing, the PRO line uses a far larger ink set to reach gallery-level tonal range and colour accuracy.

Roll width and size

The model numbers indicate the roll width the machine takes. The smaller ones cover the A1 and A0 sizes typical in engineering offices; the larger ones take wider rolls for posters and signage. Choose based on the largest size you actually print, not on hypotheticals.

Common questions

What can a plotter print on?

Rolls of plain, coated and photo paper, plus specialist media such as canvas and translucent paper; some models also take cut sheets. The right media depends on the job and the machine.

Does it work directly with AutoCAD?

Yes — Canon provides drivers and a plug-in for printing directly from AutoCAD and Adobe applications, with a size preview and paper-saving check before you print.

Why aren't plotter prices listed?

Because the price varies with roll width, stand, take-up unit and the ink set required, and prices in this category move with the exchange rate. Tell us your size and the kind of work and we will come back with a current quote.
